Born in the vibrant city of Rome but raised across multiple continents, Flaminia Bonciani’s eclectic journey has uniquely shaped her career. She initially pursued a business degree in the bustling metropolis of New York, but soon found her passion leading her into the world of acting. This adventurous path even afforded her a small role in the Oscar-winning film “La Grande Bellezza,” which further ignited her creative spirit. However, Flaminia found her true calling in art, prompting her to receive her Bachelor of Arts with Honors at the esteemed Rome University of Fine Arts (RUFA). Since then, she has enthusiastically participated in a variety of exhibitions across Italy, Switzerland, and England, gaining recognition and being featured in several prominent magazines along the way. After years of dedicated research and experimentation, she innovated the first oil-based spray paint in the world, a groundbreaking achievement that she now utilizes in her artistic practice to create unique visual effects through her carefully personalized blends of color. Recently, she completed her Master’s degree in Fine Arts at the celebrated City and Guilds of London Art School, where she showcased four striking works in her final exhibition, receiving an overwhelmingly positive response from the audience and solidifying her standing as a talented and innovative artist.
Since her graduation, she attended a residency at the RUC foundation in the Valcamonica Valley, completing and showing two new works in the final exhibition. Most recently, Flaminia also took part in a residency in China, in the Sichuan province, on the Daliang mountains, where she developed a new technique using traditional Chinese calligraphy brushes and working with natural pigments and oil on big silk canvases.
